To maintain our high standards, we currently focus on servicing Bayville, NJ, and the surrounding areas. Do you have a drop off location?

At Thompson Screen Repair, we operate as an on-site, mobile service and do not have a traditional storefront. However, we understand that some customers may prefer to drop off their screens for repair. We do offer drop-off options in Bayville, NJ, on a case-by-case basis.

If you'd like to drop off your screens, simply send us a message with the quantity of screens you wish to bring in, and we'll arrange a convenient date for both drop-off and pickup. In some cases, especially during our busy season, drop-offs can be a quicker alternative to on-site appointments, helping you get your screens repaired faster. We’re here to make the process as seamless as possible for you!

What type/brand of material do you use?

Thompson Screen Repair uses high quality materials from reputable manufacturers.

For screen-wire (screen mesh) we use products from Phifer (made in Tuscaloosa, Alabama USA) and Saint Gobain Adfors (Also sold as CRL).

For Spline (Also sold as CRL)- Fine Product Supply (Made in the USA)

We have a wide range of materials such as:

Charcoal (black) Fiberglass Screening (18x16) - industry standard

Grey Fiberglass Screening (18x16)

Charcoal Pool & Patio Screening (18x14) - heavy duty for large openings

No-See-Ums (Tiny Insects) Screening - keeps out very tiny flying insects

BetterVue Screening (Ultra Vue) Screening - you can barely see it!

PetScreen - polyester coated nylon to resist tears from pets scratching

Solar Screen (Sun Screen) - Blocks 80-90% of light

For Screen Frames - Our most common screen framing is a high quality white aluminum screen frame with a .20 inch thickness. This framing comes in common sizes to fit all needs, such as 5/16" x 3/4" and 7/16" x 3/4". We also carry Lip Framing and a few different sizes of extruded aluminum frames. We can also special order a wide variety of specialty frames and colors.

Can you install a screen door?

We can replace your existing storm door with some of our favorite door brands such as Andersen or Larson. 

If you need a hinged screen door installed, use brands such as Larson and PCA Products. PCA Products can make us a custom sized screen door to fit any opening size.

If you need a sliding screen door for your sliding patio door, we can fabricate a new door to fit the size you need up to 8 ft. tall or 4 ft. wide. Our sliding screen doors are durable extruded aluminum which will withstand harsh elements and come equipped with durable spring-loaded steel rollers.
